Hello boys and girls! The Bannon Report here! Im sorry to say, that T.B. was not meant to be. Friday night, v1 was taken down, and v2 was taken down on Sunday. So we are going to focus on a company page.
Here are the mistakes I made with Bannon v1 and v2. Lots of my posts are composed on the fly. And it’s not uncommon for me to wake up in the middle of the night with a thought, grab my phone, and let my thumbs go crazy. So a lot of those posts are gone forever.
And many of the stories that you have shared with me in LinkedIn messages, that have not become a shared post are also gone. The good news is I don’t wait to flag the fake carriers, so they are on the scorecard. Only the experience you wanted to share is gone, and for that I am disappointed in myself.
Moving forward, the experiences you share with me will be moved to a secure document immediately, until it is ready to share with everyone.
Many of the comments and messages I receive on my posts, are about the informative and educational value they provide. I’m not worried about the loss, it wasn’t a mini series, I will continue what I have been doing indefinitely.
I’m going to continue making connections, and making myself available to answer all questions, and help others make good decisions regarding carrier selection.
We have been working on a program that will incorporate all of the information Tim uses to vet carriers. There are plans for instructional videos, with demonstrations and real life scenarios. I am very confident, that if you find the information Tim provides helpful, I can show you how to reach the same conclusions on your own.
Every time someone asks me to look at a carrier, that turns out bad, it goes on a list. And the next time that MC# shows up, we don’t have to vet them. We can tell them “No thank you!” and move on to the next carrier. That list of bad carriers will be incorporated into the program and will help you move more quickly with carrier selection.
In addition to the vetting program, I am building a website where you can email questions about an MC, and it will also allow you to check MC#’s for double broker reports. It is not an algorithm, It is a continually growing list of bad MCs that have been previously vetted or reported. You can also view the Bannon Log (blog) which will have every article that I post here on LinkedIn. . So when the day comes that they take down Bannon v2, you will know where to find me.
I have met some wonderful and talented people that share my desire to end double brokering, make transportation safer, and keep our carriers and owner operators truckin’ along without the headaches we deal with everyday due to illegal re-brokering of freight.
If everyone continues to provide information on the MCs trying to book your loads, we will continue to help you chose the right carriers. I believe that together we can fix this problem. It wont happen overnight, but Im in this for the long haul. Are you?
